First Day of School 2013-14
The first day of school is always a hard day for all moms. Â Some are excited to see their kids excel to a new year that is going to be even more challenging. Â Knowing that those challenges will be defeated. Â Some are sad to know that it is just one day closer to seeing their kids become the independent person they are supposed to be and leave the nest. Â It is hard to explain the bitter sweet feeling parents experience as this time gets closer.

I am not sure if I like this collage but I definitely loooove this field!!! These sunflowers were taller than me. I had to stand on my car to get above them to take the picture.
Fields of Purple and Gold
The state flower of Texas is one if the most beautiful flowers to me. The color is such a deep blue that it almost looks purple. Anyone that knows me, knows that purple is my favorite color!!
I was on a mission to find a field of bluebonnets to take my granddaughter, Bella’s pictures. With the help of social media 🙂 I found a place. The family loaded up in the suburban and we headed to Ennis. We saw fields and fields of purple lakes. We finally found one that we were able to access (sneak in..shhhh). The smell of all these perfect blooms was just a hint of sweetness.
As the sun started to go down, the most beautiful colors started to appear. A field of purple had a slight tint of gold now. This made me think of my mom. Purple and Gold!!
